This TR6060 Stage 1 Build Kit for the C6 Corvette includes all of the wear items which need to be replaced anytime the transmission is disassembled for repair.

Increased Transmission Durability

The synchronizer rings must be replaced since they have a friction lining that will eventually wear out. It’s labor-intensive to gain access to the internals of a transmission. The unit has to be removed, disassembled, reassembled, and re-installed. As such, it’s always good practice to replace all wear items. The bronze shift fork pads in this kit replace the weaker plastic ones, providing increased durability. The replacement synchronizer rings are a revised carbon version, which only came in the C7 Corvettes from the factory. The original style of synchro ring is sintered metallic, and those are prone to overheating. With the carbon style, the chance of overheating is drastically reduced.
