• The C6 Corvette differential tends to self-destruct when making serious horsepower/torque
• While the C6 Z06 differential swap is a great solution, they’re discontinued and nearly impossible to find plus very expensive!

C7 Diff Compared to C6 Z06/ZR1

• 8.75″ ring gear – same size as the C6 Z06/ZR1
• Main housing has a much stronger with more bracing built into the casting
• Side covers are approximately double the thickness (this is the main weak point of the C6 Z06/ZR1)
• Conclusion: The C7 diff swap is an excellent (and the only feasible) option!

Important technical info

• A small amount of the top of the rear cradle must be notched in order to clear the C7 diff
• If necessary to use the factory speed sensor arrangement, then machining is required. This only applies to manual transmission Corvettes since automatics pick up the speed from the transmission. We can perform the machining for $750 carryout price. Contact us to arrange
• Must have a 30-spline transmission output shaft. If you don’t already have a C6 Z06 or ZR1 then you’ll need your trans swapped over and we can help. Or if you wish to go with a new unit, we offer this on an exchange basis ​Tremec Magnum Corvette C6 Stage 3 Transmission
